3’x5′ premium 100 denier polyester. It has a white header with two grommets. There are four rows of stitches on the fly and two rows on the top, bottom, and header side. The image is screen printed and appears on both sides.
This flag was used by the cavalry battalion of Hampton’s Legion. This was the 2nd South Carolina Cavalry, Company D. The original flag is held in the relic room of the South Carolina state museum. The writing is the state motto of South Carolina and means “While I breath, I hope.”
